President
Jim Alibrandi began his career with Interstate in 1976 as a high school student. Starting as an electrical apprentice, he gained a firsthand understanding of the business from the ground up, leading to his appointment as President in 1996.
Under his leadership, Interstate has grown into the largest merit shop electrical contractor in New England, with offices in all six states and a team of over 750 professionals. His commitment to safety, innovation, and lean methodology was the driving force behind the company’s 100,000 sq. ft. UL Certified Operations Center in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. This facility houses New England’s most technologically advanced electrical prefabrication center.
Jim is an active alumnus of the University of Hartford, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He holds multiple journeyman and master electrician licenses across New England and is a distinguished member of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) where he has served as chapter chair and as a distinguished member of the ABC National Board. In addition to his professional affiliations with organizations like The Construction Institute and IEC (Independent Electrical Contractors), Jim also volunteers his time and expertise to various committees, boards, and peer groups, including the Boys & Girls Club of North Billerica, Massachusetts.
With over 45 years of experience, Jim’s leadership is defined by integrity, safety, and a relentless pursuit of superior quality and innovative practices.
